Dr. Augustine J. Kellis is a board certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon. He is the founder and CEO of Ophthalmology & Oculoplastic Surgery, Inc., located in Chardon, Ohio. Dr. Kellis is a well-respected physician with over 25 years experience in his chosen specialties. Since obtaining his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completing his residency training as chief resident in ophthalmology at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, he has performed over 60,000 eyelid, oculoplastic, and facial plastic surgical procedures. Dr. Kellis is well known for his exceptional medical expertise and his warm, personable bedside manner.
Dr. Kellis is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. His peers voted him to the prestigious Castle Connelly Top Doctors in Northern Ohio. He was also voted one of Cleveland Magazine’s Top Doctors for Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic surgery. Recently US News and World Report selected Dr. Kellis as one of the top ophthalmologic and oculoplastic surgeons in America.
Dr. Kellis is an assistant clinical professor at The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Ophthalmology. He is also the director of the Chief Resident Oculoplastic rotation at the University Hospitals Eye Institute.
Aside from providing state-of-the-art care for his patients, Dr. Kellis, a former accomplished amateur body builder, still engages in weight training and cardiovascular exercise, including cycling and power yoga. He enjoys traveling, jet skiing, boating, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
